The idea of forming a Cuir Cor (trans from Valencian: queer choir/heart) arose as a way to resist in a time when it seems we're losing our humanity, frozen while a horror movie unfolds before us, but this time with real victims. By singing, shouting, and screaming we can express our concerns, resist, but above all, have fun together. Raising our voices from Valencia to the world!

We cannot limit ourselves to criticising; we have marched so many times that it was time to find another way to shape our protest. Cuir Cor is an invitation to unite our voices for the causes that matter most to us—human rights, the future of the planet—and to denounce what bothers us through music.

Our first concert took place at the end of the Critical Pride march in Valencia's Plaza de la Virgen in 2025. We have performed at several protests against the genocide in Gaza, sang "Tirititrans" at the trans memorial rally, and our song "All of My Children" was part of the show "The Quine..." at the Buzzcuts festival (Tramway, Glasgow 2026). We have collaborated on several artistic projects, including a choral performance at Kalestris Fest 2025 in collaboration with the group Brais and Guiu Gimeno. We also recorded a choral piece for the Erreria (House of Bent)´s coronations in Scotland and as part of the Cabañal Intim festival. We performed at the presentation of the 24th Anarchist Book Fair and once again as part of the Critical Pride, this time accompanying the march with song along the route as well as with a song at the end when the march ended at the Council chambers.

It was important for us to make our first appearance in the context of the Critical Pride march because this movement represents the rebellion of trans, queer, and lesbian people in all its multi-perverse intersectionality. We are not a consumer group seeking rights in a corrupt society on the path to self-destruction, and we will not allow ourselves to be used for the pinkwashing of genocidal regimes. We are part of the trans resistance: “We are the Queercore, we are hardcore, We are the Queercore—Cors sense Por!

La idea de formar un Cuir Cor (coro de queers, corazón cuir) surge como forma de luchar en una época que parece que estamos perdiendo nuestra humanidad, congelados mientras transcurre una película de terror, pero esta vez con víctimas reales. Utilizamos el cantar, gritar, chillar para expresar nuestras inquietudes, para resistir, pero sobre todo para disfrutar juntes. Lanzamos nuestros voces con orgúll desde ¡Valencia al mundo!
No podemos quedarnos en la queja, nos hemos manifestado tantas veces que ya era tiempo de buscar otra manera de dar forma a nuestra protesta. Cuir Cor es una invitación a unir nuestras voces para las causas que más nos importan- derechos humanos, el futuro del planeta- y para denunciar lo que nos molesta de forma musical.
Nuestro primer concierto se realizó al final de la manifestación del Orgull Critic de Valencia en la Plaza de la Virgen en 2025. Hemos salido cantando en varios protestas contra el genocidio en Gaza, cantamos Tirititrans en la concentración por la memoria trans, y nuestra cancion All of my Children formó parte del espectáculo “The Quine...” en el festival de Buzzcuts (Tramway, Glasgow 2026). Hemos colaborado en varios proyectos artísticos incluyendo un acción coral en el Kalestris Fest 2025 en colaboración con el grupo Brais y Guiu Gimeno. También grabamos coros por las Coronaciones de la Erreria (House of Bent) realizadas en Escocia y como parte del festival del Cabañal Intim. Nuestro ultimo concierto se realizó en la presentación del XXIV Mostra del llibro anarquista.
Era importante para nosotres hacer nuestra primera salida en el contexto del Orgúll Critic porque representa la rebelión de las transmaribibollos en todo su multiperversa interseccionalidad. No somos un sector de consumidores a la búsqueda de derechos en una sociedad corrupto camino de su autodestrucción y no permitimos que nos usan para hacer pinkwashing de regímenes genocidios. Formamos parte de la resistencia trans “Somos el Cuir Cor, somos hardcore, We are the Queercore- ¡Cors sense Por!”
