La Erreria (House of Bent) (2009- )

In 2009, together with my partner Anna Maria Staiano we opened the bottom floor of our house as a gallery space La Erreria (House of Bent) which literally means "factory of errors". A casa-museo ("house/museum") open occasionally for guided tours, exhibitions and special events. "The World of Rampova Cabaret" was the first exhibition we organised and documented the work of this transgender writer and artist from Valencia who was imprisoned under the Franco regime for being homosexual. Parallel activities carried out during the exhibition included an erotic literary salon and a fashion show of costumes designed by the artist. A limited edition catalogue was published in conjunction with the exhibition beginning a series of publications which continues to date

Our next project Ecogender investigated the links between gender and ecology including work by over 20 local, national and international artists.

In recent years the concept of the Erreria has expanded beyond the physical space of the gallery to encapsulate the creative relationship between its founders, and has included all types of arts practises and events organisation.
